Addie got to start a ballet class for her birthday present this year!
She had very grand ideas of what dance class was going to be like. I had no idea what it would be like, so I couldn't really prep her for it in any way.
She started out having fun, but her attention span didn't last for the whole hour.
When Addie gets tired or wants a break she says, "I'm dizzy."
She has no idea what the word dizzy really means, but she uses it ALL the time.
In addition to wanting breaks, she kept running over to me and asking questions like, "When do we get to dance on the big stage?! When do I get to put my special costume on?!" She didn't understand that she had to wait until the big performance for all the glitz and attention.
Though her first class was a bit rocky, she's gotten better every time!
Her attention span is getting better, she's getting used to watching her teacher in the mirror and copying her. It's fun to watch her improve each week.
Enjoy some pics from her first class.
(She's in the black leotard, black skirt and hair in a bun)
