Getting Ready for the Baby

I have been awful at updating our blog for the past couple of weeks!  As a quick summary of what we've been up to, Scott has been studying, a lot, and I have just been getting ready for the baby.  With the timing of our move and the due date of the baby, finding a job has not been much of an option.  I might start coaching a swim team, or something small, but basically I've been getting ready for the baby.

When we moved in, the baby's room was the most hideous mustardy McDonald's yellow.  I kept telling myself I could deal with it, but as the weeks went by and I kept looking at it, I couldn't deal with it!  My project for the week was to paint the room.  This proved to be a much more difficult task than I thought it would be.  I spent the entire day on Tuesday priming and painting the room.  When Scott got home from school the mustard yellow wall no longer existed!  We decided to paint it a really light blueish-greenish color.  Here are the before and after pictures of the room.

I also finally picked out the bedding that I wanted for the room.  After consulting with my mom and sisters for what seemed like hours over the phone while searching the internet, I finally got what I think is the cutest bedding!  I was originally very against getting bedding that was pink because I didn't want it to be too girly.  I caved on that idea when I found this cute bedding that's pink, green and white with ladybugs on it.  This is a picture of the curtain valance that it came with.  We ordered her crib online and are excited for it to get here so that we can set the bedding up and see how it all looks!

As you can tell, we are getting very excited for this baby to come.  We can't wait for her to join our family... 25 weeks down and counting!
