Scott had his first day of medical school yesterday! He was excited to finally be getting starting. The past couple of weeks and especially days were dragging on for him because he was just so ready to get to work. His first day included introductions to all of his classes. He even got to 'meet' his cadaver, as he put it. He gets to go right into dissecting his cadaver tomorrow. They're focusing on the back, and Scott's pretty excited about that. He also got his first doctor tools today, including a stethoscope and reflex hammer. I love seeing how excited Scott is about school. I know he is going to be an amazing doctor!
It's tradition in the Clark household that on the first day of school, you have to have your picture taken. As you can see, he was not excited to learn that I was carrying this tradition into our house!
Scott and I spent last weekend with all of the first year med students at his school at their annual first year retreat. It was great to get to meet so many of the people Scott will be spending so much time with. I especially liked meeting all of the other spouses, since we will be bonding together! On Friday night they had a party that was Hollywood themed, which meant that you had to dress up. We decided to be David and Victoria Beckham. I was nervous that no one would know who we were, but I was pleasantly surprised when everyone guessed right off who we were dressed as!
