We were so lucky that Grandma took the whole crew to the aquarium while we were in town!
None of us had ever been so we had no idea how good it would be.
Well, it was amazing!
We had such a blast and were amazed that they had WAY more than just water animals to see.
There was a huge rainforest type area with birds galore.
We had to stop for a snack break. Right next to the bench we were sitting on was a sign saying to not take a picture of the sloth using a flash. We suddenly realized that there was a live sloth just hanging out in the tree next to us. No cage, no nothing. Just him and his tree. Amazing!
We got to watch feeding time with the sharks.
I was amazed that Addie was so excited about this.
Normally stuff like this terrifies her.
They had fish from around the world, so in honor of Aunt Martha on her mission in Japan, we had to snap a photo in front of this one.
My kids LOVED the penguis.
Laura and I got momentarily lost from the group, so we were wandering through the aquarium trying to find them. We walked by and empty cage, when all of a sudden a huge jaguar pops out of the ceiling and drops into the cage! Almost gave us a heart attack!
This is seriously the best pic I have of the 3 kiddos.
Addie LOVED the gift shop at the end. She found a giant mermaid that she was in love with and she begged for me to buy it. I looked at the price tag and quickly said no. I found a section with much smaller, reasonable priced mermaids and I asked Addie if she would like smaller one. I have never seen that girl get more excited than that! She promised that she would take care of her forever and never lose her. I love that a measly $5 can make her so grateful! She decided to name her mermaid Jewel and has since slept with it every night and is still holding good on her promise to take very good care of her.
Thanks Grandma Ellsworth for the aquarium trip!
