On Sunday we went to a local ward for church. In Relief Society they welcomed visitors by giving them a necklace of seashells. Addie was thrilled to see that necklace when we got back!
After church we drove to the temple in Laie to walk around. When we were in Hawaii 4 years ago, the temple was being completely redone and was closed so we couldn't really see it, let alone go inside. We were so excited that it was rededicated so we could see it this time around!
| The view from the temple looking out. You can see straight through to the ocean! |
Then we headed to Laie Point to enjoy the amazing views. You can lookout onto the eastern side of the island at the amazing mountain ranges. It's one of our favorite places on the island.
We kept our drive going and went along the eastern coast. We tried so hard to get a picture that would come close to showing the amazing views, but didn't really succeed.
| This is from a crazy panorama app Scott has that shows a pretty cool view! |
Then we headed over to Chinaman's Hat to look around. Scott was trying to convince me that we could swim over to the island called Chinaman's Hat because "it has cool hiking trails and you can see sharks!" Ummmm, excuse me?! If you can see sharks, that means you're swimming with them as you swim out to the island. Needless to say, he did not convince me that that was a good idea. So we just looked at the island!
