Hawaii Day 1

We flew out of LAX early on Friday morning.  We got to Hawaii around lunchtime and had the whole day to spend.  We decided to stay on the North Shore of Oahu.  We found an adorable little studio apartment to rent for the week.  We couldn't get into it until 3 pm, so we decided to kill some time.  We had lunch at Ted's Bakery.  So yummy!!!

We started feeling so out of place being the only people on the entire north shore wearing clothes, so we changed into our suits in the car and headed to the beach right by our apartment, Sunset Beach.  We had no towels or anything, except our suits, but decided we couldn't wait any longer to go swimming!

After swimming, it was time to check into our place, so we quickly unpacked our stuff, then headed over to Wailua.  Scott's parent's told us about and old sugar mill and soap factory, so we decided to check them out.

We sample some cocoa bean and macadamia nuts covered in chocolate.
Scott thoroughly enjoyed his chocolate covered macadamia nut!
Then we checked out the north shore soap factory with tons of handmade soaps.
It was only about 6 pm when we finished all of that, but with the time change we were soooo exhausted that we went home and were asleep by 7!
