Shoe Obsession

Remember this from a few weeks ago?

It has now turned into a full blown shoe obsession!

Seriously. It's out of control!

Addie is obsessed with all shoes. When she wakes up, she grabs the shoes of her choosing and demands they be put on her feet instantly. If the wrong shoes are put on her, a tantrum quickly ensues. At any point in the day, there will be a request for a shoe change.

Many kids at playgroup have had their shoes nabbed by this little red-head. When we leave, I have to make sure all shoes have been returned to their owners.

She is constantly digging in the closet and bringing me my shoes, which must be put on instantly. Yes, even high heels while I'm cooking dinner. She's even demanded that I wear Scott's klompen (wooden Dutch shoes that are out as a mission momento) around the house!

At first it was really cute (it still is most of the time), but I've started rejecting her impractical shoe choices for myself. She would throw a little fit if I wouldn't put on the shoes she wanted me to put on, but today we arrived at a compromise. She put my shoes on and wore them all over the house. She managed it quite well too!
Here's to the first of many years of living with a shoe obsession. I can't help but think the worst is yet to come:)
