Easter Festivities

Easter kicked off a little early at our house when Grandma sent an awesome package a few days early! Filled with books, blocks, stuffed animals and candy, Addie has been busy with the contents of this package for the entire week!She also got a new swimming suit that we had to test out at the beach.
On Sunday morning, she got to search for her Easter basket! It was hidden in her favorite hiding spot when she plays hide and seek with Dad. She found it pretty quick.

Sunday Best

We had some friends over for an Easter dinner. After dinner we dyed eggs, of course!

The plan was to not show the little kiddos about the dyeing action for obvious reasons.
They quickly caught on that we were doing something messy and fun up at the table and both had to join! What good helpers.
The Brames brought their family tradition of Egg Wars. Fun! I think this will become a tradition for us too!
Complete with a double-elimination tournament bracket. It's serious stuff.
We had so much fun with friends and even managed to remember the real reason for Easter. It was fun to teach Addie all about Jesus and to show her special movies all week long. She can point at a picture of her savior and say, "De-sus" and that makes me the proudest mama in the world! Happy Easter!
