Saying Goodbye

Note: I am two months behind in blogging, so remember that this all happened in May:)
I have done so much better with this move than I thought I would.  There are so many things about Kansas City that I am absolutely loving, but that doesn't change the fact that I really miss Houston.  Just putting these pics together got me pretty emotional.  I get so emotional at the weirdest times.  A few weeks ago I made my friend's indian dish that she used to make us all the time.  It has very distinct spices and smells.  As I was making it I couldn't stop bawling!  It made me miss her so much.  Then a week ago I was driving and a Justin Timberlake song came on and it made my heart ache for my friend that had a crush on him:)  I have such wonderful memories from our time in Houston.  Med school was so good to us, and the friends we made there were the best!  So here's some randomness from our last few weeks in Houston!

We had s'mores night with the Caywoods!  Addie refused to take a flattering pic.  Just one more beautiful picture of her and Jackson that I can display at their wedding!
Tonight in the car, completely out of nowhere, Addie says, "I really miss Jackson." It made my heart hurt that I couldn't get him for her.  They really were the best of friends since the day she was born!
There was a lot of packing to do.  The kids would unpack almost as fast as we would pack.  Bennett found a box whose contents interested him.  It was a HEAVY box full of books.  He took matters into his own hands to get into it.  I have no idea how he managed that, but wow, he's strong!

So proud of his evil act!

Our last playgroup in Houston was at a fun kid's pool, Noah's Ark.  It was a great way for Addie to get to play with all of her best friends one more time and for me to say goodbye to my friends.

Our little preschool group, minus a few.
We had to get creative for dinners when everything was packed up.  The kids loved the little table that was the last thing on the truck.
We made up some cheesy name for the truck, that I can't remember anymore.

We had to say goodbye to our favorite restaurant, Pappasitos! I am seriously going to miss this Tex Mex.  The chips and salsa are my fave, and the fajitas are incredible! We had to go to half price fajita night before we loaded the truck.  We told our waitress thanks for making our last trip before we moved out of state such a great one.  She was so sweet and then threw in a free dessert!  Best fajita night ever.
We were so lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa Ellsworth come into town for graduation!  There was a lot of work that Scott and I had to do with last minute packing and tons of cleaning.  So Gma and Gpa decided to take Addie out while Bennett napped.  This spoiled little girl was taken bike shopping!  She was over the moon!
Scott's family has moved around a lot, so when his mom suggested we drive around and take some pics of memorable places in Houston, I took her advice. Who knows when I'll see these places again!

This was Addie's first home!

The hospital where both Addie and Bennett were born.
If only I could bring my doctor with me!!!!

This was where we brought Bennett home from the hospital.
