Graduation

Scott's big day was May 31, 2013.
Remember how that was also Bennett's big day (1st birthday), and moving day?  Yeah, it was crazy.
We decided to keep the crazy to a minimum and not bring the kids to the graduation ceremony.  Best decision ever!  We had some very nice friends babysit them so that I could actually enjoy the evening.  But, me being the picture mama that I am, had to have pics of Scott in his robes with the kids.  Nevermind that the kids and I are not in our nice clothes.  At least I got my family picture:)
Grandma and Grandpa Ellsworth were able to make it for graduation!
Sue was able to score us some amazing seats for the ceremony!
I'm such a proud wife.  I definitely teared up when I saw Scott's name printed in the AOA section.  Man, he worked hard for that!
I wasn't able to get a decent picture during the whole thing. I tried and tried.  On my real camera, on my phone.  I tried video on both contraptions.  Nothing.  It was all horrible quality. I did a bunch of run throughs trying to video others going across the stage and they all failed miserably.  So I made the executive decision to not worry about taking a single pic or video when Scott was on the stage.  Instead, I sat back and soaked in the moment.  I was so proud of him I thought my heart could burst. He had the biggest smile ear to ear when he was up there.

This is one of my favorite pictures ever.
Love how proud his mom is of him!

Since we had to be out of our apartment at the end of the month, we had to drive out of the city straight from picking the kids up from the babysitters.  That meant I had to say goodbye to my bestie at graduation, when I'm already super emotional!  I bawled like a baby. I have missed her, and so many of my other great friends from Houston like crazy.  We met some amazing people that became like family.  Man, it was hard to say goodbye!
Like I said, I was super emotional as we drove away from our city.  I had to snap some blurry pics of Houston as we drove away!

Graduation was super long so we didn't have time to go out to dinner.  We decided to keep it super classy and go to Culver's (fast food) at 9:30 p.m.  Yes, we were those people lets our kids drink soda and eat ice cream at that time of night!

I couldn't resist snapping a pic of the massive Sam Houston statue.
Goodbye Houston!
