Character Meetings

We really didn't go into Disneyland thinking that much about the characters.
I did buy Addie a little autograph book with princesses on it (she was so excited to have her own "diary"), but I didn't think we'd use it much.
Boy, was I wrong!
We were super lucky and chanced upon Mickey with only two people in line!  The rest of the time we saw him, the line was at least an hour long.  Addie just melted when Mickey hugged her.  And Scott and I melted watching her.  We had as much fun watching her meet the characters as she was having!

Not about characters at all, but I couldn't not put it on the blog somehow!

She was so good waiting in line getting her 'diary' open and ready and her pen poised.

She thought it was hilarious that Pluto how to hold her diary up so high to write his signature.

While we were waiting in Pluto's line, Cinderella came out of her dressing room.  We were up next and I didn't know what to do, because Cinderella is one of Addie current favorites!  Scott being the all star Dad that he is, took off to follow her and get in line when she stopped.  He said he felt a little creepy following her and waiting in line, without a single girl with him.  Ha!
This Cinderella was the sweetest character we met.  She spent about 3 minutes talking to Addie.  She asked her about her school, told her about her fairy godmother and Gus Gus.  Addie was eating up every word!

Of course Addie had to tell Cinderella that she's 3

Addie really didn't know who Merida was, but was excited once she found out she was a red head too.
Merida was really cute too.  She was the cutest accent and asked Addie if she was Ariel's sister because they looked identical.  Addie thought that was pretty cool.
She was thrilled to find Jessie.  In the pic below, she just got done telling Jessie that she was Jessie for Halloween.  Jessie was so surprised and excited!  Addie was bummed that Jessie's face was plastic and she couldn't talk, but she is a toy after all.

Of course, her conversation with Ariel was completely about red hair!

This Sleeping Beauty zipped right by Addie and went straight for Bennett.
She was eating him up!

Then came the all time favorite... Belle!!!!!

Minnie loved that she was on Addie's shirt!

It was so much fun seeing Addie light up when we'd see a character.  It was a side of Disneyland I'd never really experienced.  Scott and I fell in love with Disneyland in a completely different way. It was great seeing how happy she was.  Thanks Mom and Dad for the amazing trip!!!
