On Friday Morning we had to say goodbye to our adorable little apartment.
Oh, how perfect it was for us!
We had an early flight out on Saturday morning and decided we didn't want to do the long drive from the North Shore into Honolulu that early, so we decided to spend Friday afternoon and night in Honolulu before our flight out.
But first, here's a little tour of our home for the week:
The bathroom was so tiny!
Our awesome, full sized kitchen.
Loved that little apartment.
We packed up our place and headed to do the Koko Crater Hike.
It's not so much a hike as it is a stair master on a mountainside. For WWII they built these tracks going up the mountain to take supplies to a bunker at the top. People now use the rail ties as stairs to scale up the mountainside to enjoy the view.

| So steep! Sooooo many stairs! |

| The stairs go all the way to the very tip top of that mountain. |
After our climb, we checked into our hotel, got cleaned up, then headed to the Waikiki market to pick up some souvenirs for the kids and their amazing babysitters. Then we ate ourselves sick at Cheesecake Factory.
Our very last pic from our Hawaiian adventures.
Waikiki is crazy.
Half a day in Waikiki was more than enough for us. We realized that the North Shore was the perfect place for us to spend our vacation!
We feel so blessed to have been able to go on this vacation. It was really like a dream. The time Scott and I had to spend together was truly priceless. We feel like it charged our batteries to help us get through residency, which is not going to be easy. I can't thank my family, especially Sarah, enough for making this vacation possible and for taking such good care of our kids for us!!!
But wait, the vacation's not over yet. Next stop,
DISNEYLAND!!!
