On Wednesday I didn't take a single picture. Oops!
For journaling sake, here's what we did:
Went to an endowment session in the temple. What a beautiful and unique temple! I'm so glad we took the time out to do this. It was also so nice to not worry about hurrying home to get the kids from a babysitter. I was able to be so much more relaxed and really enjoy my time in the temple with Scott.
After the temple we just hung out on the North Shore. I believe we went back to our apartment and took a nap. Glorious!
Then we took the boogie boards to sunset and caught a couple waves. You have to be careful boogie boarding on the North Shore because the waves crash super hard right onto the beach. There's no gradual dying out of the wave as you ride it to the shore. You have a 15 ft ride and then you have to bail or you'll be plastered onto the beach and have a face full of sand. Most of the time we were successful in bailing in time, but not always!
Then we went and laid out and swam at Turtle Beach, hoping to see some turtles. But alas, we did not.
Some might think we're super lame for going to the movies while we were in Hawaii, but we don't regret it at all! We never go out to movies, and not only because they're expensive, but because babysitters are hard to get. What better time to go than when you don't have to worry about getting home so you can free your babysitter?! Iron Man 3 had just come out, so we went and saw that and loved it. On our drive home, Scott pulled off at a random beach and we went and laid on the sand and watched the stars. When we were dating we used to go up the canyon and look at the stars. It felt just like old times, without a care in the world, other than just being with each other!
