Addie Right Now

 I need to freeze time right now and take a snapshot of our life.

Addie is at such a great age and I never want to forget what she is like!

She totally went through a rough patch of terrible-3-ness, but we made it through that little bump in the rode and are having a ball right now!

Her 3 year old stats from her check up were: 36 inches tall and 39 pounds.

I did a little Q&A with her months go and am just getting around to posting it. These are her answers from just after her birthday in January.

Age? Free 3, she has a hard time with the "th" sound, but boy does she love telling her age

Fave Color? Black  This is completely untrue.  She says a different color pretty much anytime you ask her.  It usually correlates with the color of her shirt that day.  More recently she's started saying pink and purple almost every time.
Fave Letter? A
Fave Song? Child O God
Fave Game? My puzzles
Fave Toy? Tinkerbell She rarely plays with Tinkerbell.  If I had to venture a guess I'd say her favorite is her kitchen, bitty baby, or princess dolls.  It's a hard choice.
Fave TV Show? Belle
Fave Movie? Belle She doesn't know that there's a difference between TV shows and movies because she doesn't really watch TV shows.
Best Friend? Jackson They've been best friends since the day she was born.  The poor girl is going to be devastated when we have to move away from them soon!
Fave Snack? Fruit Snacks This is a no brainer!  I rarely buy them because she's so obsessed with them.  She will do anything in the world for fruit snacks.  Not even kidding.
Fave Drink? Orange Juice
Fave Dinner? Pasta She eats more pasta at dinner than I do!
Fave Princess? Cinderella
Fave Breakfast? Mini-Wheats
Fave Thing To Do: Play with my baby Bennett Talk about melt my heart!

And now for my two cents about Addie right now.  She is left handed.  She is very caring and will jump to help anyone who she thinks is hurting or needs help.  She is getting more brave everyday!  Just last week she attempted the monkey bars without me.  It scared the living daylights out of both of us when we was dangling on the first one screaming because she didn't realized what she'd gotten herself into.  

She loves her baby Bennett.  Loves is an understatement.  She takes such good care of him and will always load up his high chair tray with snacks if I can't get to help him fast enough.  She is more careful at the park than I am about not letting Bennett put anything in his mouth. She's started hopping into his crib in the mornings to play with him before I go in to get them.  She helps me out in other ways too.  Her job every night is to set the table.  She does it perfectly and usually without a complaint.  She's also started helping out with loading the dishwasher.  It makes my heart so happy to open up the dishwasher and see the crazy way it's been loaded.  

Her two favorite things to do are definitely ride trikes with her two best buddies that live in our complex and read books.  If she doesn't get to ride trikes, she is devastated.  She's started to think that everything she does has to be with a friend. She always asks which friends she's playing with that day.  She also asks which friend is coming over for dinner.  She thinks we have company every day. 

 She will sit on my lap for hours on end reading, if I had the kind of time to devote to that.  It's our favorite thing to do during Bennett's nap.  Her favorite books are the Pinkalicious ones.  She has tons of books memorized and I love to start out the phrase and she'll will almost always finish my sentences.  I've also started getting caught skipping some words.

She chose the very mature red color all by herself,
even after I tried to get her to choose a little bit more fun of a color.

She loves 'cooking' us dinner in her new kitchen with her apron.
