6, 7, 8 and 9 Months!

Oops, I've been a bad mom!  I haven't done updates for Bennett for the past 4 months, so here goes a catch up!  This is for journaling sake, so I won't feel bad if you don't read it:)
At his 6 month check up he was 18 lb 13 oz, 29 inches long with a head circumference of 18 inches.
He's our big boy!

At 6 month Bennett finally started sleeping solidly through the night!  Though it was short lived, because two weeks later we went to Utah for Christmas and you were thrown off your schedule.  You had 3 teeth at this age.  You were such an early teether!  He wants nothing more to crawl around the house by himself, but he hasn't figured it out.  He gets so frustrated when he gets left behind! He loves to eat, with sweet potatoes being the favorite.  He is still very content to sit back and let his sister run the show.  He is such a content kid.

At 7 months he was sleeping horribly!  Our month long Christmas travels combined with getting 4 more teeth, made for a very sleepless month!  I have never been so tired in my life.  While sleep was rough, you loved all the attention you got from our families.  You learned how to start to move around. You were able to get up on your knees and rock back and forth.  You also learned how to crawl backwards, but were not happy about it because all you wanted to do was go forward!  You were always getting injured.  Mostly because I was having to get used to what you were now capable of.  It took more times than I care to admit to learn that you would not just lie still when I put you down somewhere.  You even got a black eye from slipping on a granite countertop while we were staying in a hotel.  You also started saying "Mama!"  and you know exactly what you are saying.  You repeat my name over and over when you are distressed.

At 8 months you went back to sleeping great!  You have 7 teeth and we were desperate for a break. You also learned how to crawl!  You were ecstatic about this!  You were to happiest baby ever when you realized that you could go and get whatever you wanted.  Addie hasn't been as happy about this development.  You are started to knock down all her towers and steal her toys.  When most kids learn how to crawl, they'll gradually start figuring it out and be moving bit by bit across a room.  You didn't do that.  One minute you weren't crawling, only rocking on your knees, then the next you were crawling in perfect form across the entire room.  I guess you wanted to wait until you could do it perfectly to show off!  You are now mostly bottle fed because you wouldn't stop biting with all those teeth!  Your dad likes this because he can not put you to bed.  You love for him to rub your back and your head when we've put you in your crib for the night.  He likes to tickle you up your spine and you laugh adorably every single time!  One of your favorite things to play with is any kind of cord.  If we're not watching, it's almost certain you're gnawing on some cord somewhere.  You also got your big boy car seat this month!  You don't love it and don't sleep very well in it, but at least you're safe in it.  We put you right next to Addie in the car and you love to play with her when we drive.  I tried moving you to two naps a day and some days it works, but usually you still take 3.

And finally, 9 months!!!
You weigh 21 lb, and are 29 inches tall.
You love sitting with your sister in the back seat and cry the whole car ride if she's not with us and your all along in the back seat.

Your personality is starting to come through, and you're pretty goofy.
You LOVE peek a boo!  You also don't sit still when getting your diaper changed.  It's the hardest part of my day.  So to entertain yourself, you usually grab your pants and put them over your face.  We say, "Where's Bennett?!" and you rip them off your face and we yell, "There he is!" and you laugh hysterically.
You're still crawling like a mad man.  Everywhere.
You've also become a cruiser and will pull to standing on anything.
Your favorite trick is to pull yourself and let go and just stand by yourself.  You have such a proud look on your face because you know it's a tricky thing you're doing.
You still sleep through the night, but have become quite an early riser.  You like to be up at 6:00 a.m.  We're still getting used to that.
It is so easy to get you to smile.  You are very easy to please.  We just have to keep you well fed and have some toys available.  You don't really even need naps.  I, of course, give them to you, but you don't really cry and get fussy when it's time for you to go to sleep.  This makes it so we sometimes push you too far because you go with the flow really well!
You eat a ton.  You're starting to mostly feed yourself and eat pretty much what I make for everyone else.  I love how independent you're becoming!
We had lasagna last week and you devoured it!
It's your favorite just like your sister.

Your hair is starting to get quite long.  It's also very fuzzy!  If we don't put gel in it, which is pretty much every day but Sunday, it flies all over the place.  It's also coming in quite red.  It's a lot more blonde than Addie's is, but you're definitely a red head.

Your 8th tooth has also come in.  Hooray, we made it!
You love your sister so much and she absolutely adores you!
It makes us so happy to see you two play so well together.
We love having you in our family Bennett Boy!
You are such a joy to parent!
