Park Time!

Yesterday the weather was gorgeous and we had a little time so we headed to the park as a family! It was a day of firsts for both kids. Bennett went down a slide for the first time. He was sooooo happy! Seriously, he was giddy.

Addie also got "really really brave" and went on the huge slide that, I'll be honest, makes me a little nervous to go down. It's super steep and drops off immediately. We go to this park at least once a week and Addie has always been too scared to go on it. But yesterday, she did it! She was beaming. She was so proud of herself. We were so proud of her too. She is such a cautious, careful girl, so it makes us happy when she goes outside of her comfort zone. You can see the pure joy on her face when she's in mid-slide. Contrast that with the goofy faces that Bennett makes when he's in mid-slide.
