It Has Begun...

Football, that is!

Most wives don't really enjoy this time of year because they're husbands are glued to the TV all day Saturday. Lucky for us, ever since we met, Scott has been teaching me the ways of football and I have come to LOVE it! We plan our days around college football games and are so excited that it has finally begun!

To kickoff the football season UT and Rice played just down the street from us. Our good friends, the Brames got two extra tickets and let us come along.

Sad Side Note

During the course of the game someone spilt their drink and it got ALL over the diaper bag... I mean, drenched it. I was not a happy camper about it. As soon as we got home, I emptied what I thought was the entire contents of the bag and threw the bag in the washing machine. When the cycle was done, I went to move it to the dryer and discovered that I had not, in fact, taken everything out of it. I'd forgotten the most important pocket... the one with the camera in it. Needless to say, our camera was trashed. I wanted to take a picture of its pathetic remnants, but that's not an option. Needless to say, I lost every picture I took from the game, including the adorable ones of Addie completely zonked out in her carrier. So sad. Such is life. Thanks Amelia for giving me all of your pics so we have some way to remember the awesome game by!

We walked to the rail from our apartment and were so glad to have a cold spell for this time of year, 90ish degrees. It felt great!

(Yes, Scott is flashing a peace sign... he can be so embarrassing:))

We waited for the rail for about 10 minutes. When it got to the platform, it was full, packed full. There was no room in the inn for us, so we had to end up walking all the way, luckily it's only down the street.

Addie was so patient with us carting her all over the place. She's really learning to like the carrier and fell asleep in it, heading bobbing all over the place, on the way to and from the game.

The UT marching band made some amazing shapes in the field. Here's a longhorn and TEXAS... amazing!

Pretty much everyone was wearing orange... we were so outnumbered.

After the game, we walked back to the apartment and watched our good ol' Cougars play, thanks to Justin TV and a cable connecting our computer to our TV. We had a blast hanging out with friends all day doing nothing but watch football. Thanks Brames for letting us tag along to the game (and for the pics)!
