Can you believe it?! Our little girl is 8 months today! We can't either.
She has changed so much from the day she was born.
Remember this sweet angelic face?

Now we have this, out of control, energetic, getting into everything 8 month old!
"You think I'm gonna sit still, now that I know how to crawl?!"
"Well, okay. But you can't make me open my eyes."
- She is officially crawling... everywhere! By 7 months (sorry for my lack of posting then) she was scooting and had mastered spinning in circles, but a few weeks ago, while we were in Utah, she mastered the real baby crawl. It was great that she chose to do it when our families were around, so they could see it in person.
-She is my shadow. She follows me absolutely everywhere. I sometimes make her dizzy when I'm trying to clean the apartment and am going every which way.
-She has two teeth which sprouted up over a month ago.
-She is down to two naps a day, not because she only needs two now, but because she has discovered that it is much more fun to play than to nap. She used to fall asleep within seconds of me putting her in her crib. This is no longer the case as you can see by the picture below, she has learned a new trick.

- She just got her first high chair. The bumbo wasn't cutting it anymore and now she eats meals with us.

- She is learning to cruise along the furniture. Yesterday we practiced laps with her cruising back and forth along the couch to chase the remote control (her favorite toy). I was surprised at how good she's getting at moving her feet.
The closet doors in her room are mirrors... perfect.
She just can't resist looking at her adorable self when she is supposed to be napping.
Last night at dinner we had some watermelon, so we cut some up into tiny pieces and gave them to her. We were surprised at the rate the pieces were disappearing. We thought she was loving the watermelon so we kept giving her more. We were even more surprised when after dinner, she wanted more and ate a whole contained of baby food. We were no longer surprised when we took the tray table off and found her snacks she was saving for later. There were even more watermelon pieces than you can see in the picture. Let's just say, she's still trying to master the art of feeding herself, but is getting better every day.
We have so much fun being Addie's parents. We feel so lucky to have this spunky redhead in our family and can't wait to see her continue to learn and discover everything around her!

I love that picture when she is like attacking the camera. She looks like she could be related to death. Haha I miss you! I am already starting to count down the days until you come again.
this made me laugh so hard. She is so cute! I can't believe she full on crawls now. I just love little addie and loved seeing all of you. I'm glad you got the post card. Thank you for your compliment on my announcements and invitations. It's still a work in progress but i really love to do it. You are too nice. How does it feel to be back at home after the 3 week vacation?
