Growing Like a Weed

Warning: If you do not want to hear a gushing mom, you should probably stop reading now:)

Our little sweetie is now four months old! It seems like she grows an inch every time we blink.

She had her four month check up today and had to brave the shots.

Here are her measurements at four months:

Weight: 16 lb 2 oz

Height: 26 in

Head Circumference: 17.5 in

She's still in the high percentiles for everything, but her measurements are proportionate. She weighs a lot for her age, but she's also a tall girl. She may take after her Aunt Martha. She's grown 5 inches since she's been born. Like I said... growing like a weed.

At 4 months Addie:

-still smiles all the time

-is laughing more and more every day

-rolls from side to side, she's trying to get onto that belly

-likes looking at things

-doesn't babble that much because she's too busy studying everything around her

-only needs a little bit of steadying to sit up

-still sleeps beautifully

-is turning into a Mama's Girl

-is VERY ticklish

-you can see the beginnings of a tooth coming in

-has started her first solid food... rice cereal

As you can see, it makes a mess!

One of the most entertaining parts of our day is when we get to spoon feed her.

Her face is priceless on the first bite of every feeding. She looks so disgusted and spits it right back out. She actually spits most of her food back out. We're not sure if any of it has actually been swallowed yet, but we'll keep trying.

Addie got the cutest sparkly star-shaped band aids for her shots. I think if she were old enough to realize how awesome her band aids were, it might have made her feel a little better about being jabbed by needles. But alas, the sparkly star-shaped band aids brought her no comfort. Luckily, we were able to pick dad up from school on the way to her appointment so he was able to give her a lot of loving while I took care of the paperwork and things.
I'm sure anyone who is a parent can relate to this, but we can't even describe how happy we are to have this little girl be a part of our family. We feel so blessed to be the parents of such a sweet girl!
