Freedom

To celebrate being done with the first year of medical school we headed out to New Braunfels for the weekend. Our good friends, Mark and Jennifer, invited us to go out to their lake house with them. We left town as soon as those boys were done with the last final on Friday afternoon!

We stopped for some nice greasy burgers, where Jennifer got her first dose of watching Addie. I think Jennifer's got the touch because Addie was loving her!

Saturday morning we went to Schlitterbahn! For those non-Texans reading, this is supposedly one of the best water parks in the world. We had a great time! It was definitely unlike any water park we'd ever been to before. The water is taken from a river, which makes it nice and cool. As a former lifeguard, I can tell you that this place was very lax on water safety, which also made for a little bit more fun!

We made sure to cover our fair-skinned redhead!

Schlitterbahn was a little rough for our sweet girl. Addie is such a trained baby and is usually amazing at napping because I'm a routine freak. While I love that she is trained so well, it makes going places really hard! Addie couldn't get herself to fall asleep in her stroller. The poor girl got her longest nap of the day in her daddy's arms while we took a lunch break.

These boys can now be called 2nd year med students!

This slide was awesome. You race down it, and for the weight differential between Scott and I, he didn't beat me by as much as he should have:)
Jennifer was sooooo nice and watched Addie the whole time we were there. It was great to get to spend a little time with Scott doing things we did before Addie came. Thanks Jennifer for taking such good care of her! And thanks for letting us come crash your weekend, we had a blast!
