Decorating

I was going to title this post "Redecorating," but in order to redecorate, you have to had decorated...

The whole time we've been married, I haven't done a thing to make our bedroom look like I actually thought about it. It never bothered me before that our bedroom housed mix-matched furniture that we've accumulated over the time we've been married, until lately. It never bothered me because I was barely ever home and I was only the bedroom to go to sleep.

All of this has changed now that I get to stay home with Addie. Over the past few months our bedroom has been bugging me more and more each day! We still had a little bit of birthday money left over, so Scott told me to have at the room and do whatever I wanted... I know, I've got a very trusting husband.

I went and got new bedding. I found some cheap night stands that I painted black and refurnished our old dresser by painting it black.

The biggest and most exciting project was... drumroll please..... we now have a headboard!!!!!!! Our bed is no longer a dinky metal frame. Well, the dinky metal frame is still there, but you don't notice it with our stylish new headboard.

The headboard was definitely a two man project. Thank goodness Scott found time between all of his tests to help me out. Look at my studly man with his drill.

I was scared to death of the fabric because who honestly makes an orange headboard? Well, we do. It makes for a nice little pop of color amidst all of the black, white and gray.
