Our Growing Girl

Yesterday our little Addie turned 2 months old. Where has the time gone?! It has gone by so fast. She had her 2 month check up and she handled it like a champ. She had to get a bunch of shots, the poor thing.

Here are her measurements at her 2 month check up:

23 inches: 75% percentile, we're wondering if she get the tall Ellsworth genes

13 lb. 1 oz.: 85%, this has gone down significantly, she's no longer a whale of a baby

16 in head circumference: this is off the charts, which is why I had to have a c-section, I only have my Clark genes to blame for this.

At 2 months here is what Addie does:

-Smiles all the time! This is the best part of our day!

-Loves to be swaddled anytime she sleeps. When she gets unswaddled after a long night of being held in tight, she does the biggest, most adorable stretch. You can just tell she's thinking, "Man, that was a good snooze!"

-She will watch us from across the room. When we move, she keeps on watching us.

-Only wakes up once during the night (between 2 and 3) for a quick 5 minute snack, then goes right back to sleep. I am especially grateful for this!

-Loves to go on walks with her Mom. She will just stare wide-eyed at the sky and trees.

-She is starting to babble. She makes the girliest noises, which are adorable!

-She lets mom make dinner and actually eat dinner without needing to be held...this is a huge improvement from those first few weeks. Here is my little sous chef, patiently sitting in her Bumbo while I get dinner started. Once she starts moving more, this won't work, but for now, it works beautifully!

The other day Addie was starting to squirm a little bit, which means it's nap time. So I laid her swaddle blanket on the floor and swaddled her nice and tight, stuck her pacifier in and the girl was out cold. I didn't wanna move her to the crib for fear that she might wake up, so I just let her nap in the middle of the floor. She snoozed for about and hour and a half without moving an inch. She really was a rugrat!
