Scott and I have pretty much the best deal, we get to share our birthdays with each other! There's no one else that I'd rather share my birthday with. It's pretty much like another anniversary and a day where we just get to spend a ton of time with each other.
To start off the day, I had big plans to get up while Scott was in the shower and make him a nice breakfast before he got out. My plans didn't exactly work out when I slept through his alarm and didn't wake up until he was out of the shower and making me a surprise birthday breakfast... great minds think alike. He made delicious waffles from scratch topped with strawberries.
Yum!
For lunch Addie and I went and picked up Scott from school. We went to Rice Village and found an awesome deli that we had never tried before. As you can tell, Scott did not want to be bothered while he was eating!
Instead of taking Scott back to school, like I had planned, he decided to come home for the day! That was the best birthday present to me. We gave him his birthday present... some Puma tennis shoes! Unfortunately, they weren't big enough (Scott has gigantic feet) so we had to go back and get some different ones, but he was excited for the new shoes anyway!
Last year for my birthday Scott got me digital scrapbooking software, which I have loved. I spent the past year scrapbooking everything that we had done since we'd been married. As a surprise, Scott had my scrapbook pages turned into a hardcover book... unfortunately the book didn't get here in time for my birthday. Hopefully it'll make it sometime next week!
My parents got us plane tickets to go out to Utah over Spring Break. They also sent us a gift card to one of our favorite restaurants, Texas Roadhouse. Thanks Mom and Dad for the date night!
For dinner (if you can't tell, we like to celebrate by eating) we went to Pappasito's... one of our faves! On Wednesdays they have a 2 for 1 fajita night, so it worked out perfectly that our birthday landed on a Wednesday. As you can see, we had some smokin' fajitas.
Poor Addie was such a trooper.
She was so tired that she completely zonked out sitting on my lap.
And if we were full enough already, they gave us brownies and ice cream.
Make a wish!
Lookin' good in our Mexican attire
Amelia was so sweet and got me an awesome cookbook. It was also a present for Scott because I'll make food from it that he will get to enjoy. Thanks Jon and Amelia!
Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. We had such a great day. We got to spend a lot more time with each other than we originally thought we would get to, which was the best birthday present I could ever ask for!

Happy Birthday! Bah, I've been thinking about it being your birthday for weeks and then I completely forget to say anything on the day, I always do that. But it looks like you two had a splendid day without any well-wishing from me. Glad you had so much fun!
Well it looks like you had a great birthday even without me. I really think you should consider becoming a writer because you made me feel like I was there with you. Just thought I would let you know! Happy Birthday again!
Hahaha you look SOO good in those sombreros ;)
