At the beginning of May there was a 5k race that started and ended at the Kansas City LDS temple.
We decided that we would do it as a family and Scott would run with the double stroller. Ouch!
We had a blast doing it together.
It started off with a pancake breakfast. The kids were big fans of that.
I was so excited that I beat my old PR by 5 minutes!!!
Scott pushed me SOOOO hard. He set a ridiculously hard pace (yes, while pushing the 80 lb stroller up hills!). I loved hearing people's comments when they would get passed by a guy pushing two big kids. I stayed with Scott for 2 miles at which point I thought I might die because I couldn't keep up with his pace. I begged him to leave me and let me go my own pace. He reluctantly agreed and took off. That last mile was painful, and I couldn't sworn I was holding a 20:00 min pace, so I was pleasantly surprised when I came in under 26 minutes! Thank goodness for Scott pushing me harder than I thought I could!
