Much to my surprise, Scott promised Addie they could camp in the backyard one weekend.
He promised this without first checking the forecast. That Friday night turned out to be raining and under 40 degrees. Camping in the backyard definitely did not happen!
We decided to do indoor camping.
I was thinking we'd grill hot dogs and marshmallows over our grill. I totally forgot we had a fireplace that would actually make it fun! Houston made me forget how awesome fireplaces are.

The kids had a blast!!!
Only problem is, now Addie won't stop asking if we can have camping!
(PS All of these pictures are horrible quality. Fire lighting is not great, but I don't care:))

We blew up the air mattress, which Addie and Scott slept on the whole night.
We also watched some Halloween movies and let the kids stay up late.
They were in love!
