Scott had to work on the 4th, but that didn't stop us from celebrating!
We started off the day with a fun parade.
Bennett was waving at all the people of the floats that waved to him.
Melt my heart.
Some friends were soooo nice and invited the kids and I over to their bash that night. They had some of the most delicious food I've ever had! We were introduced to the joys of smoked meat. Amazing! They even sent me home with a plate of meat for Scott. That made his whole week. There was even homemade ice cream for dessert!
Our little lady had a blast playing with the little girls and experiencing fireworks for the first time.
I'm a mean mom and have never let her stay up for them!
She spend basically the whole night plugging her ears.
I have never seen as many fireworks as I did that night. Missiourians are crazy about their fireworks! On the drive home, we could see about 20 huge shows going on right off the freeway. So fun! When we got home all of our neighbors were lighting them off all night long too. We put Bennett to bed and Addie and I laid on our patio and kept watching all the shows around us. It was such a fun night with my kids!

Pretty sure Addie and I wore the exact same outfit on the 4th! Maybe I should grow up and stop dressing like a four year old ;) Miss you guys!
