He's walking!! He has been for a little bit now. When he really wants to go somewhere he still crawls but if he's nonchalantly cruising around the house, he chooses to walk. He started at 10.5 months. He does a sort of side step walk. It's adorable.
Still sleeping great! At night and for naps. Yay!
Such a mess maker. He is so interested in the kitchen cupboards right now (in both mine and Addie's kitchen!). He can't get enough of pulling everything out of them. I have to be careful not to trip all over his messes when I'm trying to make dinner.
He's learned some tricks. He loves to clap at himself and Addie a lot. At the ward talent show, he clapped with the crowd after every number. He's also big on waving. At dinner time if you make eye contact with him he'll flash you a heart melting grin and give you a sweet little, "Hey there!" wave. When Scott was putting him down for his nap today I left the room and Bennett waved bye to me all on his own. He also knows the sign for 'all done,' and is really good at using it.
He's starting to be a cuddler! Yay! When he's on the move and playing, if he comes across something slightly soft, he'll instantly stop and lay his head down for a quick cuddle. After snuggling for about two seconds he'll be on his way. He especially loves his special blankie from grandma Ellsworth.
He loves the park now! Almost as much as Addie. It makes things a lot more fun because I feel like they can both get the benefit of getting out and playing instead of feeling like Bennett just has to come along for the ride. He especially loves climbing up slides.
He says "uh-oh!" I love it! He first learned how to say it when he was learning how to walk and he would fall all the time because we'd say that every time. Uh-oh and mama are still his favorite things to say. Though he does say "dah!" in a very high pitched, exclamatory voice sometimes.
Overall he is just a fun loving dude that loves for me, dad and Addie to be around. As long as he's got us and some food, he's good to go. We sure love having him in our family!
