Sinterklaas happened a long time ago for us.
So for my journaling sake, here's the recap.
We decided Sinterklaas would be a good time to open up all of the Christmas presents in Houston rather than taking them to Utah with us. My mom had sent a few presents directly to our house because there was no way we could stuff them into suitcases. So on Sinterklaas Eve we had a nice videochat with my mom, dad and Sadie while the kids opened their presents.
Bennet was up first!
He got some foam blocks that he loves!
Seriously. I can't believe how much he loves them.
I've decided that these are the best kid toy ever!
Addie has spent many hours building temples and castles with them too.
Next up was Addie.
Her present was expertly wrapped in a quilt.
Inside that massive box was her very own kitchen!
The girl could not believe that she was getting her own kitchen!
She helped her Dad put it all together.
Then it was time to put Bennett to bed.
But first, Addie wanted to give him the present that she bought for him.
A week earlier, Addie did some special jobs around the house to earn some money. She used her hard earned money to buy Bennett a special Christmas present. We took her to Target and had her pick something out of the dollar section. We didn't foresee how difficult it would be to get her to focus on picking something out for him while being faced with a ton of toys that she would want for herself. She ended up picking out a great toy for him that he really does like to play with. She always beams a little bit when she gives it to him to play with.
She spent the next hour before her bedtime cooking up a storm!
In the morning we told Addie that Santa had come and had put some surprises in her klompen!
She hurried down the stairs to check it out.
He even brought her the gummy bears that she'd been wanting for awhile!
Addie was so excited that Santa knew she wanted those gummy bears.
Santa also brought Addie one big present.
Dress ups!!!!!!!
She was stunned when she opened them.
The girl loves her some frilly dress ups.

You have such beautiful children. I am missing them so badly. Hopefully we get to see them this summer when you go to Hawaii. Brooklyn will be more fun to play with then so the three kids will have a blast!
