I was such a diligent blogger every single month for the first year of Addie's life. It's no surprise that with the second kid it's harder... I've been telling myself that I've got to get in a 3 month post for Bennett, because he's creeping up on 4 months. Then I thought I might as well just wait until 4 months at this point. Then I thought, what does it matter if he's an even month?! So here's what Bennett is like at 3 months and 13 days!
Oh, and I also don't have any new pics... I'm working on that.
-He's becoming a pro at tummy time and rolls from his belly to his back with ease. Oh, how I hate tummy time, so this is only in thanks to his Dad and Grandpa Ellsworth:)
-He smiles so BIG when we go to get him from his naps. I say we because it is Addie's favorite thing to go and get, "Her happy boy!" the second she hears him on the monitor.
-He likes to be swaddled, but not in the straightjacket kind of way with the velcro blankets that Addie loved. He likes the loose linen swaddles... this took a little too long for me to figure out.
-He shares a room with his sister at night. Thank you buddy!
-He takes a nap with Addie and usually sleeps longer than her. 2.5-3 hours. An even bigger thank you!
-We're still working on his night sleep... grumble, grumble. One night he'll wake up once to eat at 4, then snooze til 8 am. Then the next night he'll wake up every hour needing his binky popped back in. It's way too inconsistent and we're getting ready to figure that out. He's been moved from house to house and hotel to hotel his entire life, so we wanted him to get settled back in to his real house and his real bed before we thought it was fair to do a little sleep training.
-He really loves his exersaucer. I thought he was way too young, but he's been in it for weeks and has a blast for about 15 minutes at a time, then he's ready for a rest.
-He's really good at being on the go, letting Addie go to parks all the time.
-He loves company. He's content for a very long time as long as he can feel you sitting next to him, he can hold your finger or hear your voice nearby,
We took him to the doctor's office two days ago for his 2 month checkup and immunizations... we're working on getting him caught back up after all our traveling. Here are his "2 month stats:"
16 lb 12 oz
26 inches long
17 1/4 in head circumference
As you can see, he's growing like a weed. I get asked all the time if he's 6 months. This was back when he was only 6 weeks... When I tell people how old he is their eyes nearly pop out of their heads. We sure love our little man!
