More Addie Tidbits

For Christmas Addie got a set of girly legos from her Grandma and Grandpa E.
She loves them!
In fact, she almost loves them as much as her Daddy does.
I can almost guarantee you'll find those playing blocks when I'm at young womens every Tuesday night!

Scott makes some seriously impressive things.
Here's one of his favorites.
It's a treehouse, in case you didn't notice the tree at the base holding everything up:)
Notice the convenience of waking right up, simply sliding down the slide and hopping in your car to head off to work.  He really does think of everything.
But, you hafta be very careful not to get too attached to anything you build.
In a moment's notice, your 'big helper' might just become a little too helpful.

This really is her running around crazed trying to get Dad's treehouse!

While there are many difficult things about being pregnant with a toddler, there are some definite perks.
My favorite thing being how awesome she is at picking stuff up for me!

A couple weeks ago I was emptying the dishwasher and I clumsily dumped the entire contents on the silverware basket all over the floor.  I looked down at the huge mess and immediately started counting how many times I'd have to bend over to pick it all up (thankfully, I'd just mopped the floor!)  Then I had a moment of genius.  I took the silverware holder out of the drawer and put it on the floor and asked Addie if she would be my big helper and put them all back where they go.
She was soooo excited to help! She could definitely tell that it was a real job and I really could use her, instead of giving her some fake job that doesn't really matter.  She took it very seriously and put everything exactly where it goes!  Boy, was I grateful for her!

Being in Young Women's at church, I've been working on my Personal Progress with the girls.  For scripture reading in the mornings I get out my scriptures, a pencil and my pink personal progress book that Addie refers to as 'Mommy's pink pictures(scriptures)'.  They other day while I was cooking dinner, she was sitting on the counter like she always does.  I turned my back on her for a minute and turned around to find her 'reading pictures.'

She had her special pencil in hand, her personal progress book open and was diligently marking up those scriptures.
Adorable.
I hope she puts in a good word for us when she makes it straight to heaven.

Have we mentioned her insane sweet tooth?
She can't even wait for the ice cream to be dished up!

A couple weeks ago we babysat for some friends who have a newborn.
To put him to sleep I got out Addie's old infant rocker.
After they went home, I hadn't gotten around to putting it away before Addie reclaimed it as her rocking chair.  The girl loves this thing.  Scott and I will be working in the kitchen and realize that the house is way too quiet.  We come out to find her just hanging out in her rocking chair, rocking back and forth.
What a goofball!

What a great collection of pictures! These are really cute. I'm glad she is being such a big helper.
