If you didn't know, Houston has the biggest rodeo ever!
Seriously.
It's huge!
Yesterday we headed over to check it out.
We started off with the baby animals at the birthing center.
This turned out to be her favorite thing of the day.
She loved the baby lamb.
No, it's not dead. Just sleeping.
This chick is also not dead.
It had in fact, hatched seconds before!
Then we headed over to the petting zoo.
Big mistake.
Notice how she has crawled as high up onto Scott's shoulder as she could possibly get.
She basically became a parrot on his should the entire time we were in there.
She was terrified!
Not really surprising.
She's always been very cautious.
We could only get her close to the pictures of animals.
We thought she'd love driving the tractor.
Nope.
Our city slicker just wanted to get down and drive all the Ford cars that were on display next to the tractors.
That's more like it!
This is a perfect example of the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.
If you take Scott to a rodeo, you will have to buy him sausage.
Duh.
And you will have to share with Addie.
After lunch it was on to working on the farm.
There were chickens to be fed.
(They're fake, so she went for it)
Planting one of her fave veggies, 'matoes.'
Posing by another fake animal.
Playing in the corn box.
I had a picture of the fake lamb she was supposed to pet to feel the wool. I don't know where the pic went, but she was convinced the lamb was real and REFUSED to touch it.
Then it was onto the Farmer's Market to sell her goods.
Money!
She carefully selected her treat for her hard day's work.
We had a very fun, exhausting day at the rodeo!
I thought Addie would like it a million times more than she did.
Oh well, maybe our scaredy cat will enjoy it more next year.
