This morning I watched the news and when they announced that it would feel like 108 degrees I thought, "What a perfect day for the zoo!"
Not.
But we hadn't been in forever and I wasn't motivated to go workout and I'd spent all morning long on the phone trying to get a bill sorted out. I didn't think the heat would be a big deal, so off we went, just the two of us.
We melted.
That's about all I took away from this trip. Kidding.
Addie loved the birds.
But her favorite was the albino alligator (crocodile?).
We practice swimming like alligators, so this animal was especially intriguing to the young swimmer.
The huge iguana creeped her out. Me too.
Babies are one of her favorite things in the world.
Imagine her delight when she discovered baby elephants!
This girl is incredibly ticklish.
We're always picking on her.
She was thrilled to find such an easy target and couldn't resist tickling the monkey's toes.
Did I mention we melted?
