Like Mother, Like Daughter

One of my family's favorite pictures of me as a kid is this one:
I was simply enjoying a nice piece of chicken straight from the garbage bin. It turns out that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

In my cake class my teacher warned us not to put buttercream down our drain, but to put the bulk of it in the garbage can, then wash out the rest of it in the sink. Being the obedient student I am, I dumped all my frosting in the garbage and then turned my back and began scrubbing away at the sink. I heard a small rustling noise behind me and turned to find this little monkey elbow deep in the garbage can, the green buttercream already smeared on her face!
(Seeing as how the damage was already done, yes, I did let her continue what she was doing so I could snap a picture)
"I've got to get every last bit of it off my fingers!"
"Maybe I can sneak another taste when she turns her back..."
On a related note, here are the finished cupcakes from last nights class. We learned all about making flowers. Pictured are plenty of roses, drop flowers and my personal favorite the shaggy mums (the just look like a crazy head of hair).
I am dying to make an actual cake to practice all these different kinds of flowers. I just don't know what we would do with an entire cake, so if there are any takers in the area, I am serious about making you a cake!

I think you have her beat with the huge chunk of chicken. That is very funny that she did something so similar. I think kids just like the garbage. Anyhow very funny post.
