It's BBQ Time

On Saturday our friends, the Brames, had a nice BBQ at their pool. It had been threatening to rain in the days leading up to it, but the weather was actually beautiful when it came time for BBQing! Since the Brames have an awesome swimming pool, we all wore our swimming suits with hopes of getting in the water. Unfortunately, the pool was not warm enough yet and Addie wanted nothing to do with it!

Addie just wanted to cuddle with her Daddy.

Anytime a move was made to dip her toe in the water, she sure let us know that it wasn't going to happen.

On Saturday morning Scott's class had a service project where they did some work at an AIDS clinic (I think that's what it was). At the service project, everyone got bandanas and, according to Scott, they were all wearing them around as they painted and did landscaping.

Scott decided to continue wearing his headband (as I liked to call it) once he got home. I just can't help but think of the movie The Buttercream Gang. Doesn't Scott remind you of the rebellious Pete?

Our sweet girl has been such an angel for me these past few days. Somewhere, somehow I got strep throat. This means that I have no energy to play with Addie and I'm afraid to get anywhere near her for fear that she might catch it. So, to fill in for me during the day, Addie's been watching Baby Einstein videos.

She actually watches them. I've tried the videos before, but they scared her to death and she would always end up screaming within a minute of turning it on. Today, I had much better luck though. I was able to lie down next to her and get a little shut eye, while she learned about farm animals.
