Sinterklaas!

Happy Sinterklaas! I'm actually not sure if it's correct to say "happy" before Sinterklaas, but I'm doing it anyway. As most of you know, Scott served his mission in the Netherlands and over there they celebrate a holiday called Sinterklaas on December 6th. On the night of the 5th, you're supposed to put our your klompen (the Dutch speakers out there are not allowed to judge my spelling), wooden shoes, and Sinterklaas and his helper, Black Pete, will come and fill them with presents. On Saturday night we put out our klompen, and what would you know, they got filled with treats! Sinterklaas even filled up our little baby's klompen.

As another treat last week, we got snow! The beauty of a Texas snowstorm is that it doesn't stay cold long enough for the snow to make a mess of things. We just got to enjoy it falling out of the sky!
