While most people are busy writing Happy New Year posts, the Ellsworth family will always be writing a Happy Birthday one!
Our little girl turned 1 on 1/1/11. We tried to make her golden birthday one she'll never forget:)
Here's what our monkey is like at 1:
-She's such a ham! She makes the goofiest and expressive faces (particularly incorporating her eyebrows). The best part is, she knows she's being funny and she does it just to be goofy! She laughs at herself right along with us.
-She's turning into quite the talker. She can say mom, dadda, goggie (doggie), boo, and babba (bottle). She also said Gracie and Jake (the family's dogs names). We're not sure if this was coincidence because she only said each one once, but she looked like she knew exactly what she was saying.-She loves books and is so careful turning the pages. I can leave her with non-board books while I make dinner and there won't be a single torn page when I get back. She's learned that as soon as you open the book, you start talking. So anytime she opens a book she starts reading (jabbering).
-She is a very active little girl. Her main mode of transportation is crawling. She can walk as a trick when she wants to show off, but she knows she can still move a whole lot faster when crawling. If she's not in a hurry, she'll walk on her knees. We think she's convinced that it's the same as walking, just a lot safer without all the falling. She also loves scaling up and down stairs.
-She has a few tricks like clapping, waving, giving kisses and loves.

2010 was full of lot's of adventures for the Ellsworth Family. We are so glad we had our Addie there for every bit of it. It is such a joy to watch her learn and grow. We never cease to be amazed by her. We love you Addie!

I love this so much more because I've seen her do all these adorable things. Seriously. I just love that little girl. We miss you guys tons already. I have a lot of cute pictures and footage of the birthday party. I'll send them today incase you want some for her birthday blog post. They're on derek's phone so I'll have to wait till he's done with school. Hope everything is going well back home.
