Sorry if you're sick of reading blogs about everyone's Thanksgivings because I'm finally getting around to writing about ours!
We started off the day bright and early by running the Turkey Trot 5K race with some friends. My loving husband did it too, just for me. You can tell by his face, that he was not there for himself.

The race was pure insanity! There were 10,000 participants this year!!! We were dodging people the entire way. I'm not even joking when I say that we really ran a 6K with all of the running from side to side we had to do.

It was such a humid, sticky day. We were sweating before the race even began... which makes the after picture that much prettier:)

While Scott went and played football with the boys, I headed home to make the turkey.

Scott arrived to fulfill his manly duties of carving the bird. He's getting quite good at this.
Nicole made the cutest place setttings and decorations. Her and Weston were amazing hosts!

Addie thoroughly enjoyed her Thanksgiving feast. It's like pulling teeth to get this kid to eat anything, especially meat. We were shocked when she ate everything, even the turkey!

After sample a million different pies (no pic, we were too busy with other more important matters), we headed to the Galleria for a Christmas tree lighting and fireworks. The cold front hit us while we were waiting for it to start. We were all left standing in the pouring rain, with no jackets. Luckily the babies had their blankets.

Addie was in awe of the fireworks. She wasn't scared of them at all. Standing in the pouring rain was worth seeing the look on her face!

This Thanksgiving we were especially grateful for all of our great friends that make it okay to be so far from family!

That turkey looks delicious! No wonder Addie ate it all!
